Its important that you order the deposit slips correctly, or the bank will reject the deposit. If the bank does reject the deposit, you could incur a fee for it. Some banks has a different routing number than the check routing number, even though its the same account number. At the end of the deposit slips, some banks has 0, or 13 on the far right of the account number.

The number tells the computer that it is a deposit vs a check being debited from the checking account. You can have the Quickbooks Deposit slip to be mailed to you as a sample, and have the bank run a test on it, to make sure it will be ran correctly. Theirs no charge for that. They rather have you to make sure its correct than have an error. Once the deposit slips are approved, then go-ahead and have the company to print/ship the batch.

When you order cheap business checks, its always good to order your Quickbooks Deposit slips as well. Two things you can do. You can make your own, but must use MICR toner and the correct font size and type. Failure to do so, can make your deposit be rejected by the bank because its not in compliant. You can buy the blank deposit slips.
Having someone else to print them will be alot easier for you. They have the paper, printers, ink, and font to make sure its compliant with the bank rules and regulations. If you place a re-order for them, it will be just as easy as before. The more you purchase, cheaper it will be for each of the slips and you wont have to worry about spending more shipping charges for each order.
I don’t know about you, but I find it really aggravating when I pull up to the bank to deposit checks and have found that I have ran out of deposit slips. And then you have to fill out a blank one and try to remember your account number, and you feel badly for holding up the line.

When you do this you are not only insuring that you have them when you need them, but you are also helping your business to be more efficient and productive. When you don’t have to spend an extra 5 minutes waiting in the bank line you are giving your self 5 extra minutes to focus on your business.
