When you buy a busienss accounting program. Its always important to make sure your software is up to date. If you dont keep your software updated, it could cause you to have accounting mistakes with payroll, taxes or something else with the program. Peachtree is very easy to keep updated and so is quickbooks. While your checking to make sure your program is updated, what about your Quickbooks business checks? Do you have enough of them.

If your ordering yoru business checks often. Its great to have that company to offer a friendly reminder to make sure you have enough checks. Customer service comes in so many levels, but knowing you have it makes your business run more efficiently.

We love the holidays, but so do theifs as well. Always make sure your shopping cart provider is on the SSL list. Keeping up with your merchant provider and make sure they issue the PCI compliance certification to your company. Making sure that your site is encrypted so when the customers check out, they’ll see the HTTPS. The (S) at the end of HTTP, tells the customer that your site is secure with their information.

When customers check out. Its important that their credit card information does match their card issuing bank on check out. Look for IP address coming from overseas, but has a billing and shipping address different, and with overnight am delivery, is a red flag that it could be a fraud order. Tightening up on your checkout process, will protect your business and the customers. Customers love security, but fraud orders hate it. If the customers mail a business check, make sure you hold the check to ensure its a good check. After it clears then ship the product to the customer. It doesn’t matter if its a quickbooks business check or peachtree business check.

Getting the best deal for merchant account

When your getting a business going, you need to have a way to accept debit/credit card. If your business is on line, then you need a gateway like Authorize.net. Check to see what your bank can offer you. Call and get details on what the fees would be. How often can you sign up for a rate review. Do you charge for a monthly, yearly or quarterly PCI compliance fee. Get the 2 best quotes possible. When the bank says next day deposit. Make sure its clear about it.

Next day batching could be like this. Batch out at 8pm on Monday night, and your funds are there next day, but not till mid day. Ok that will work. Or….the other bank says next day deposit, but its Monday night batch. You dont see it till wed morning. They made the deposit next day, but at midnight. You have to get their clarification on what they mean by next day deposit. When your depositing your quickbooks business checks, it will be credited and you’ll see the funds next day, but depending on how much the check is of course.

Ok about discount rates and etc.. Lower percentage rate you can get the better.

Cyber Monday Deals found on business checks

I enjoy shopping and looking around to see what the best deals i can get. Im opening up a new store that will be a brick n mortar store, and ecommerce store as well. I was looking around today to find the best deals on business checks that i can get. I found free shipping, 15% off, and if your order was more than $200, get a free visa gift card. I called to find out what their process was and come to find out. I could receive the checks by the end of the week.

Shopping for business checks is something that you’ll need guidance through if its the first time shopping. I had no idea that their was so many colors, styles, choices and variety that was out there. Having someone to guide me through the process was amazing. Since i was needing to save money, I found the best deals by looking for cheap business checks.

At the end of the year, we all need to know what our business profit, and expenses are. They need to be broken down into different catagories. If you use Peachtree or Quickbooks, it will work great. Their is a difference between the programs. They both can be specific for your business type, and their is a huge difference with the inventory.

Peachtree will offer you FIFO and LIFO and give you an accurate amount of your profit or loss. Quickbooks will give you the average. Its just the way they work. Make sure you enter every thing you spend or income so it will be easy on your accountant, and doing taxes. Towards the end of the year, its always good to go-ahead and order any supplies, or business checks you need so it can be written off for the current year.

Ok, we all have heard of the biggest banks in America be sneaky about their bank fees. They have dropped the debit card fees and others. Well guess what? They are going to find another way to get the money they will loose with the frank dodd act that has been in place just over a month now. If your in a contract with your current merchant account, how can you change the funds to a different bank or credit union?

Just call your merchant provider customer service, and ask to have your deposits to be changed to a different account. They will ask for the routing number and account number. It can take 24-48 hrs for the change to take place, but at least you can change banks with out a contract. When you change banks, you can order bulk blank checks and imprint your own business checks, but you’ll need the right program, printer, and MICR toner as well to be in compliance with the banks. As always, if your not sure about something, always call and ask to be on the safe side.

Today in the news. They were talking about Bank of America and Wells Fargo Bank with customer service. They had won the best customer service award. Problem resolution is an issue industry-wide. Bank of America, Chase, and Wells Fargo were statistically tied with 64%, 66%, and 64% of customers’ issues resolved on the customer service call, while 57% of Citi customers surveyed reported their problems were solved with their customer service.

Offer the best and your brand and company will stand out. Who would want to do business with someone that wont help you. When your ordering business checks, you’ll have questions, like: what is your shipping policy? Do you offer a proof or samples? What happens if i order the wrong product? I cant get my debit/credit card to go through? Helping with the most important part of your business and being nice, friendly, and helpful will go along way. So….do what is right and help others. You’ll have a higher conversion rate, and repeat customers for sure. If your ordering quickbooks business checks, make sure you have your logo imprinted.

Its always a good idea to save money, and dont wait to the last moment to order checks, then have them to be shipped express. Shipping express will cost you more, especially if the company your ordering from is across the country. When starting a new business, always look for the best deal as possible. Express shipping will cost you more.

Buy more in quantity as it will save you more money for the order. 250 Qty can cost up to $.15 each each, where as 3000 can be $.08 per sheet/check. If you look in the right spot, you can always find a good deal online. Dont forget to order your envelopes along with the checks. Business checks come in so many different styles, and colors.

Use business checks for payment instead of your debit card

Banks are really starting to make changes to their structure. I know in November, that Suntrust bank will start to charge a fee to use your debit card for personal account. Wells Fargo is testing something new as well starting next month. You’ll be charged a $3 fee per month for using your debit card. Some of the banks are even changing the account type you may have that would include more fees for debit card or account.

Want to save some money. Use more of your Quickbooks business checks to pay for everything you have. It can really start to save you money monthly and yearly with the bank. It will be hard to find an account that is free anymore with the changes that has been made with the bank changes. Best thing you could do is to move your accounts to a credit union. The only negative thing about that is this. You wont be able to get as much services. Those business that need merchant services or onsite check deposit will be just a few items you may not be able to get.

Most of the time. Peachtree Accounting Software uses the checks in the middle. But you can edit the program where you can use the Quickbooks business checks as well. Some people that are moving over from one accounting program, dont want to spend more to change the check type. If your moving from Quickbooks to peachtree. It can be easy to do with out a problem.

Peachtree by default uses four different styles for the check in the middle. Quickbooks uses check on top, full page of checks, or 3 up personal checks. All of them can be customized to your business needs with or without lines and your business logo. The more you purchase, the more you can save in the long run. You can even use bulk blank checks and customize your own checks .

Its great to see that America is ordering more and more Flags for various holiday. Even though we just got through remembering those that perished 10 years ago today. I’m had received a payment from a customer, and i found out where he had ordered it from. I was very impressed to see that someone purchased bulk blank checks that had Flags on there and they are using it to support our country.

We need to support our own country more than what we have. We need to keep more business in the USA instead of having them overseas. Recently, we have lost two more companies that services our public and mostly families. A book store is scheduled here to close next month and a recently remodeled theater has closed due to the economy.

If your looking to purchase a new check printing program. A few things you need to know about. All of the versacheck program for 2011 (7 different types) requires you to do a few things. Each of the programs may do some things a little different, but same overall. You must purchase their versacheck refills. Each box (250 Qty) has a validation code in the box. Its required to use, to print your personal/business checks with. The validation code is to make sure your in compliance with the check 21 laws. Just don’t forget to use MICR ink not the regular ink.

Versacheck Refills

When you purchase the program and the checks. Before you’ll be able to use the program. You’ll have to validate your checking accountant before printing check. You’ll go to gvalidate.com and submit a check for $0.01, and then you’ll see the check come back through to your account. Place the check number into the program to VALIDATE and your able to use your program and the rest of the checks.

They have done that to help combat the check fraud that is occurring out there. Yes, their are other programs that is going to be doing the same thing soon. It may be a little bit of an inconvenience, but it will give you allot more security for your checking account.

Well its time of the year again. Hurricane season. Is bad weather coming to your area? What kind of back up plan do you have for your business? Make a back up copy of your business insurance, accounting program, and other important business documents that you may have. Back up your documents off site, put it on a CD and place it into the Safety deposit box, or any other means you have.

With the hurricane season coming, its good to always have a back up plan. Take pictures of your business (inside and out), and when you come back and you see damage, take pictures of that damage as well. It will help speed up the claim process with your insurance company. Have generators ready to use to help clean up things and any other usage you may need. Have a back up plan for your small business by using hand written business checks as a backup if you cant get to your quickbooks business checks. Have that account as an emergency account till you can get the accounting going again. Place the receipts into a box that you can balance the books later on with.
