Using credit cards, net 30, or having a credit limit is all great for a business. But just like your credit report to keep it up. Have your debit to income ratio at a certain level. The lower you keep your company debit, the better it is for you in case you need to obtain a large amount of credit. I have learned that its best to use cash and move on. Use your business debit card to track everything you order and not worry about having to pay for it later.
My dad always taught me even as a kid. To use cash and pre-pay for things you need. If you charge it, you’ll have interest, and or late payment fees. Small purchase could cost you double easily. Theirs so many methods of payment methods, including using peachtree business checks, to keep track of your payments. Keeping your cash flow high and debit lows really looks good for investors, or someone else that is interested into your company.

We always want to look professional for our customers. Why not do the same for your business checks. Adding your business color logo to all of your documents, really does make a huge difference. Some don’t care and look at it as saving money on ink. Yes that’s good but, isnt your image as a company along with your customer service even more important.You don’t want a logo that is not showing up good, or looks copied. 
Making your business checks stand out, shows the customer how important it is to look good. Color logo can even be a watermark onto the check as well. Make sure the logo is very clear and is in a JPEG format. Higher the image quality it, the better it will look on the busienss check. It may cost a little bit, but wow, it does make a difference.

Its always a good idea to save money, and dont wait to the last moment to order checks, then have them to be shipped express. Shipping express will cost you more, especially if the company your ordering from is across the country. When starting a new business, always look for the best deal as possible. Express shipping will cost you more.
Buy more in quantity as it will save you more money for the order. 250 Qty can cost up to $.15 each each, where as 3000 can be $.08 per sheet/check. If you look in the right spot, you can always find a good deal online. Dont forget to order your envelopes along with the checks. Business checks 
come in so many different styles, and colors.
Cheap checks will work just as good as the other business checks

Are you starting out a new company? Looking to save money? Want to save expenses on business checks. Just look for on Google, yahoo or other search engines for “Cheap Checks” or “Cheap Business Checks“. You’ll come across companies that offer lower prices, but still good quality business checks. All business checks are Check 21 compliance and has the basic security features.
One way to save more is to purchase more in bulk. It will be cheaper with the more you purchase. Saving more with this economy is getting harder to find. Customer service with every sales goes along way. See how long it will take to have the order delivered. Most companies will receive the order that day, and can ship out the next day. Larger orders may have to be produced or cut when your dealing with paper.

As a small business owner, we are trying to maximize our sales to have more profit. One of the best ways is to offer your customers more payment options. I just added recently American Express. Yes it does have more of a fee than the other 3 credit cards (Visa, Master Card, and Discover) but you’ll be able to make a sale and have a profit. Having a merchant account is expensive enough as it is. 
Offer one more great payment option to your customers and that is for them to Mail you a Check for payment. Yes its a risk just like accepting credit cards, but the fees are lower though. Once you receive the check, you can use a onsite check deposit from your bank (accept money orders, cheap business checks, quickbooks and peachtree checks), to make the deposit from your desk. Having that option does reduce someone else handling the money, and reduces expenses from going to and from the bank every day. Go out on the limb for your customers and you can easily increase your conversion rate. Got to spend money, to make money.

End of July is coming up and need to make something we all do, easy for the accountants. Its almost time to reconcile your business checking account again. If your previous month was balanced, then this month should be easy to do. You can order cheap business checks and making sure they all have cleared will help. Sometimes being an accountant, you have to do alot more with for the business to make sure everything is in order.
Daily reconcile with the checks that was written, payments received and etc. Will make the end of the month
reconciling alot easier. Just take a few extra min to do the reports and compare them. It will save you hours at the end of the month. Peachtree and quickbooks makes it easy to review the account. Reconciling makes sure your books are in order.
Dont forget to have your merchant account to be reviews every six months

Having a business does have alot of responsibilities. One thing we all forget to do as a business owner is to have our merchant accounts to be reviewed. Having your account looked at can save you money in monthly fees. Call customer service and ask for a rate review. You could have your discount rates to be reduced, or placed onto a different plan.
Since their is new laws coming out, you’ll be able to save not only on rates but interchange fees that the banks make a nice profit off of, and is passed onto you. Have your customers to mail in their quickbooks business checks as it can save you money as a merchant, and keep the fees down. The one main thing is that it will take longer for you to receive the check if its mailed, and then cleared, before you can ship the merchandise out to your customer. 
If the law is passed in July from the Durbin Amendment, then everyone will see a change in their checking account. BBT Bank is one of them that is making the changes for personal and business accounts. One change for the business accounts is this: If you have a free business checking account, as of Jan 2012, it will change, and you’ll have a $10 Monthly Fee. They no longer offer the free personal account. If you have a personal account BUT have one auto dep to your account, then it would be free at that point.
Banks are doing away with the free checking account and starting to charge you because of the Durbin Amendment. Costs are going down on credit/debit cards for merchants, that affects, in turn affects everyone else. I would recommend using your business checks as its cheaper to use, better paper trail, you can spend more on a check vs a debit card.

Quickboooks accounting program is a very good program to use, and recommend. Its great for your business especially if your ordering and selling at the same quantity for your products. Example would be, that you order Cups at $1.25 each for your vendor, but re-sell it at $2.50 each. So…then you’ll have average inventory profit.
If you order at different quantity, and get a discount, and do the same for your customers. The more they order, the better discount you can give. Then Peachtree accounting would be the best way to go overall for your business. Then you’ll need to order peachtree business checks
that is check in the middle. Keep in mind that it offers 4 different styles to select from. For those business that is growing, peachtree is the way to go as alot of companies need LIFO and FIFO .Peachtree is really the way to go and is becoming more popular to use.
It has been a very wild, crazy, and interesting for everyone in the USA this winter. It has made the states, cities, counties spend more of their budget for snow than they really needed. We all have a budget to keep going and not going over it, or it will pull from other areas of your business. Some states and cities spent their budget on a Snow Melter, vs salt and etc…
Keeping the business going in a hard time like this winter may be hard, but you can find ways to save your money during a hard weather. Keep a working generator on hand. Use wireless to keep communication up when power goes out, or phone line goes down. If FedEx express is interrupted because of weather…use UPS instead. Keeping our customers going is what a business is all about. Especially those that order business checks

We cant believe it that its almost the end of the year. WoW. 2010 has really gone buy fast. Ordering your business checks now can save you hassle later on in the month. While your at it, go ahead and order all of your business tax forms that you need. If you order all of your stuff now, you wont have to wait longer and have it before the end of the month Holiday.
UPS and FedEx will be closed on December 24th and 25th. Most of the holiday rush is December 15th. You dont want to wait till the last moment and order 3-day, 2nd day or overnight. WoW. That can really cost you alot of extra money, that you didnt need to spend in the first place. Another thing is that you’ll be able to use this as a tax write off for everything you have ordered for your business throughout the 2010 year.
