As a small business owner, we are trying to maximize our sales to have more profit. One of the best ways is to offer your customers more payment options. I just added recently American Express. Yes it does have more of a fee than the other 3 credit cards (Visa, Master Card, and Discover) but you’ll be able to make a sale and have a profit. Having a merchant account is expensive enough as it is.
Offer one more great payment option to your customers and that is for them to Mail you a Check for payment. Yes its a risk just like accepting credit cards, but the fees are lower though. Once you receive the check, you can use a onsite check deposit from your bank (accept money orders, cheap business checks, quickbooks and peachtree checks), to make the deposit from your desk. Having that option does reduce someone else handling the money, and reduces expenses from going to and from the bank every day. Go out on the limb for your customers and you can easily increase your conversion rate. Got to spend money, to make money.
With all of the economic hard time that we all are going through, we wonder what is going to happen with our money. Social security, interest rates going higher, people going into their savings, 401K and etc…. How are we going to be able to buy basic stuff if prices keep on going up, and to make things worse that our government doesn’t reach the deal to increase the debt limit.
Best thing to do, even during hard times its to put money aside each pay period. Even if its $5, it will add up. This goes for personal and business useage. What if something happens with the economy, or slow times and you need money? What would you do and where would you get extra money from? Best thing is from your savings account. With a business, we all need business checks and if you dont have enough money to buy them, then it can create a rolling echo affect. By having extra money in case something bounced like the quickbooks business checks that you use for payroll, would be covered. Having a little on the side can really help your business
succeed during rainy days.
Classic Business Checks colors are back. What exactly is a classic color? Classic Color is a solid color business check that is used for business or personal use. You can purchase them with lines, no lines, or signature lines only. Classic Color comes in Blue, green, burgundy, purple, yellow, tan and gray. The classic does not have any special background like wave, lattice, marble, or prismatic style.
They are 100% compatible with your software and digitally printed for increased accuracy and quality. When shipped, its shrinked wrapped for protection and prevents them from moving in shipping. The most popular Classic color is the blue and burgundy. With your business color logo can really make the check stand out more to others.
End of July is coming up and need to make something we all do, easy for the accountants. Its almost time to reconcile your business checking account again. If your previous month was balanced, then this month should be easy to do. You can order cheap business checks and making sure they all have cleared will help. Sometimes being an accountant, you have to do alot more with for the business to make sure everything is in order.
Daily reconcile with the checks that was written, payments received and etc. Will make the end of the month
reconciling alot easier. Just take a few extra min to do the reports and compare them. It will save you hours at the end of the month. Peachtree and quickbooks makes it easy to review the account. Reconciling makes sure your books are in order.
Their are so many bulk blank business checks on top you can find with different styles. You can get them with lines, with out lines, signature line only, or no lines at all. Some styles are available in marble, solid color, lattice, prismatic and others. Accountants love to have variety, as it helps to seperate their customers accounts, or their own.
Having a different color for each accounts, helps to make your account easier and organized. If you have 20 accounts, you dont want to have one color for each. Some do, but its just a preference. If you print your own checks, make sure you take it to the bank and have them to run a test to make sure you have everything correct. Failure to do so, can result in the check being returned. You dont want that to happen to your vendor or customer.
When you make the purchase of an accounting program. Do you know what kind of checks that you need to use? Well maybe this will help. Quickbooks accounting program uses checks on top, or full page of checks (3up checks). You can have them to be customized with or with out lines. Dont forget to add your b/w logo or color logo. You can even have 2 signature lines if you need to.
Peachtree Accounting offers 4 style but with out lines though. If you want to use the check on top, you can, but it will have be edited in the program to use it. Peachtree or quickbooks can have the logo and or a watermark on the checks. Most of the business checks has the basic security feature for your protection and prevent fraud. Business checks do come in alot of styles and colors. Look around and see what you like. Dont forget to ask for samples to make sure its what you need, then place the order for your business.
Having a online business is very hard to do. Alot to keep up with if your running it by your self. You have orders to process, bills to pay, website maintenance, phone calls, onsite help to customers, email, and so much more. One thing we really have to watch to keep our profit up is fraud orders. Theirs several things to keep an eye on when the orders come through.
Look at the billing and shipping address. If they are in the same zip code, then more than likely its safe. If the order billing and shipping is across country with 2nd day, or overnight order, and its for cheap checks, then more likely its fraud.
Look at the email address and see if its related to the order. Use your smartphone to receive copies of the orders. That way if your away from the office, you can monitor the orders as well. Keeping fraud down will save your business. If you get an order for per say for $50, and you ship it. Then you receive a charge back for $50. You have just lost $100. Another way to keep fraud down is to call and verify the order after someone places it. It shows that you offer great customer service and a better chance of having a repeat order.
I have become again another victim of debit card from. I conduct all of my business here in the USA, not overseas. With the business and personal use. I would say I process less than 200 transactions a month. I use three main vendors. I pay most of the vendors/bills with a check vs a debit card. I have used the debit card locally, and I think that’s where the fraud has happened.
Reduce the amount of transactions you do locally, and out of state and ask if you can be issued a check instead. A check can be compromised, but less likely of fraud than a debit card. Business checks with their security features will help to protect your business. With the newer account I just opened, the fraud had happened in just a matter of hours. The transaction that took place was for over $500. For something that large, it may be good to file a police report for that, even though the transaction took place overseas. The police report can/will help you in case something does come back to you, and is used legally. Do not email your debit credit card via email.
During this past week, it has been slower than normal for sales. Usually a week before a major holiday, we’ll see sales slower then, but not this early. What are you doing since sales are slow, and not processing alot of orders? Have you cleaned up your website, and checked to make sure the SEO is completed on the site? SEO really makes a huge difference on the site if its completed or not.
Re-check your main key words to see if any of them needs to be changed, or added. Make sure each category, sub category, and product page is completed. Just like ordering cheap business checks. If its not signed, the check wont be any good. Same principal with the SEO. 100% optimized webpage will be seen more by the search engines. SEO and doing blogs really does help your site. Its not easy having an online store, but it does take alot of time, just like having a regular brick & mortar store. Gota keep it clea

We all need to make sure our business checks are safe and wont be used fraudulent. You can find bulk blank checks that the security features are not the lowest, but not the highest. The extra protection with checks that are more difficult to replicate or manipulate. The features for the better security bulk blank checks are:
Its important to keep your business organized, but keeping the accounting organized and accurate is more important. Use different colors or styles for the quickbooks business checks. That way you know what checking account is assigned to the checks for billing or anything else you may need. Dont forget to use your business logo onto the checks to promote your business brand.
Color logo does cost more, but makes the document more professional looking. Quickbooks business checks are still outselling the peachtree business checks. About 83% of business checks is the checks on top. You can have one or two signatures lines if needed and order higher security checks for more protection. Some companies use different banks as well, and having different color for that can prevent from making an accounting mistake.
Keeping debit down really helps everyone out. Its good to have credit, but if you own a business can be harder. We all need credit, but when you have a business. Its best to pay upfront for everything you need. Offer your customers different ways of making a payment. Credit card, paypal, mail a check or money order. Validate the order and make sure its a legit order, especially if its processed online.
Having everything paid upfront keeps your business cash flow in tact and reduces the company from going in debt. Theirs so much fraud that is going on, and we need to make changes to keep the business going. Simple changes can really make a huge difference. Help your company to grow with online chat, friendly customer service, easy to navigate through the website, and always have the customers to prepay, even if they are going to use a business check to pay. Peachtree business checks do come in four different styles if your not use to it vs quickbooks that is one style.
With the check fraud on the increase, its important you have enough security features on the business check you write to others. If your using the checks to pay vendors mainly, then the basic security features are just fine. Over 60% of payment fraud victims report their greatest losses from fraud. Their are three different security features you can use for the business checks. Its available for quickbooks checks, and peachtree business checks.
Security Features helps prevents checks from being reproduced by scanners or copiers, and will alert the account holder to tampering. We all work hard for our money, so when sending payments, why not add a little extra protection with the best. Its recommend to use higher security checks when using checks for every transaction your paying on, and to customers.
