Don’t forget to reconcile your business checking account at the end of the month. Not doing so can make your accounting so hard. Yes it is easier to open a new business checking account and start from scratch or force balance it. Using business checks
is just as easy as personal checks. Theirs no different in balancing them at all.
A few things are that the account number is on the left side of the routing number, vs personal that is on the right side of the account number. One huge thing is that its associated with your Tax id, not your SSN. Making sure you have enough funds is just the same way. Running your business efficiently is the best way to be ahead of your competitor.

Dont forget to obtain new business checks if your relocation your business, or adding on to it as a franchise. Its a common mistake that you take your business checks with you, but its always good to get new checks from your local bank. WHY? If you need to do anything with your bank, it will be accessible.
Changes is good, but you gota go with the flow and the area your at. You dont wana drive 200 miles to get to your old bank. Any ideas? Ohh yea. Use a bank that is national like Wachovia/Wells Fargo. They are all over the USA. That way, its easy to get to your bank and not worry about getting new business checks again. 
Now that virtually all business is conducted over the internet, my company’s usage of the postal service is minimal. That being said, there are certainly times when a hard copy of a document is needed. For instance, many of my smaller clients and distributors have yet to modernize and only conduct transactions via check.
While online payments account for the majority of our debits and credits, checks still play an integral role in our day-to-day business. To that end, I always keep dozens of blank checks and check envelopes on hand. Even though my company may utilize more modern means of payment, I recognize the necessity of catering to your clients’ needs
Being an accountant is alot of work and you have to do alot. One thing an accountant does forget to do is order the business check envelopes. They got to keep up with payroll, inventory levels, PO’s and so much more. Sometimes they even do the HR job and accounting in one position.
With out your double window envelopes for peachtree or quickbooks, can make your job harder. Then you have to turn around and place the order and sometimes pay extra to get them asap, vs in a few days. Spending more on shipping isnt good. Your boss will look at how much the company is spending on shipping, and if they see your ordering at the last minute, that’s
not good for your job.

Changing over to Peachtree accounting software is very easy to do. Their is a convert program with the peachtree programs that allows you to move things. Why not start using peachtree out of the box vs using quickbooks. WHY? Peachtree has FIFO and LIFO, and will give you the accurate numbers for what you have made for the year off of that product.
Quickbooks will give you an Average number. You hate lairs right? Well so do we with an accounting program that will give you the wrong information. When using the peachtree business checks, is easy and you’ll have four templates to select from and use. Not sure what to use. Just print some dummy checks to see what style you like for your business.

Being a accountant is alot of work and sometimes we let things get buy us and not realize it. I have used alot of checks in one day and got to the end of the box and ran out of checks. OOPS. I hate that when that happens. It costs me extra money to get them shipped ASAP. The price of the checks isn’t the problem
The shipping for 3000 checks is the problem, when i need them 2nd day air. That is 36 lbs that i have to pay for vs ground that is alot cheaper. Checks is easy to do. Order checks that you need, and to save time, go back to the company that you had ordered previously and it will be easier. 
Are you printing alot of checks daily, or weekly? Why not use the quickbooks accounting program. You’ll be able to print quickbooks business checks
easily with a laser printer. You can easily reconcile your checking account with the program.
Printing over 100 checks can be easily done. Just select the items, bills, or what ever it is you need to print, and select print.
