Dont wait till the last moment to order your business checks. It can cause alot of problems. What if the company couldn’t overnight them when the order came in that day? You’ll need to make sure you have time for the order to be processed. You’ll have to place the order. Fax a copy of your voided check. Wait on the proof, then approve the proof. Then the company has to print and ship your order.
Ordering cheap business checks is easy to do, but alot of work is involved to put it together. Its always a good idea not to wait for the last moment, but give your self time. If you rush to the end, you could have delayed payroll, bills being paid, and so much more.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) — Added incentives for banks to make Small Business Administration-backed loans will continue through the end of March, thanks to a fresh funding infusion authorized by Congress as part of Tuesday’s bill extending unemployment benefits.
Since early last year, the SBA has waived its fees and offered banks guarantees of up to 90% on the small business loans the agency backs. Created as part of the Recovery Act, the deal sweeteners helped SBA-backed lending rebound from its near collapse in late 2008, in the wake of the financial crisis.

Congress initially authorized the incentives to continue through September of this year, but the measures proved so popular that their funding was quickly exhausted. The SBA has been relying since late November on temporary extensions to keep the incentives running. They will issue you a business check already written out for your use.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) — Internet fraud cases surged by 22% in 2009, and financial losses doubled compared to the year before as scammers took advantage of Americans rendered desperate by the recession.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Internet Crime Complaint Center said it received 336,655 complaints in 2009 with losses totaling $559.7 million. This is a substantial increase from 275,284 complaints in 2008, when the losses totaled $265 million.
Dire financial straits have made Americans more vulnerable to big-ticket scams, said John Kane, manager of research for the Internal Crime Complaint Center.
“A certain level of desperation might sink in, and you might take that leap, where you wouldn’t before,” he said. “We’ve seen an increase in the number of complaints with fraud with a high price tag attached to them.”
Also, he said that scammers are becoming savvier, stealing identities on social networking sites and propositioning your online friends for money.
“We’re seeing that the criminals are using new and diverse tactics to reach out to people,” Kane said. “They’ll take over your account and then use your identity to ask money from friends for an emergency. Instead of coming from a stranger, it’s coming from someone who is supposedly your friend.”
He said the FBI has cracked down on fraudulent activity through auction sites such as eBay, but fraudsters have quickly moved on and been “setting up shop” on other popular Web sites, such as Craigslist. Dont give out any of your personal or business checks information as it will be a bad result.

What do you do when your business is slow and you have free time? As a good recommendations theirs alot of things you can do. Keeping your business clean helps to keep everything organized and customer friendly looking. If your working in the warehouse, clean up the floor and any excess papers that isnt needed. Process inventory and make sure the records are correct. Replacing light bulbs with energy efficient bulbs. Wipe down and get as much dust off of the computers/printers.
If your in the accounting office, see if you have enough Peachtree checks and envelopes. Reconcile your accounts and get everything updated. Paybills so you’ll have less to worry about. If its too slow for the business, and some of your employees have vacation time, allow them to use it if needed. Making the company look good will always help to make the business run efficiently in all areas.

Even in the best of economic times, it’s not easy for start ups to win bank loans. Most lenders look for a long track record of earnings, and some don’t lend to new firms at all. But you can improve your odds by investing your own cash, building banking relationships, communicating a compelling business vision, and courting local investors.
“No one should go into a bank and expect 100% financing,” says Bob Seiwert, senior vice president of the American Bankers Association, a Washington, D.C.-based trade group. “Bankers are lending shareholder and depositor money, and they want it returned on time. They get paid to take prudent risks, but they don’t get paid to make equity investments.” Using Quickbooks business checks will help you to track where the money is being allocated to.
In short, you need to invest in your enterprise before seeking others’ support. Seiwert also recommends seeking out an experienced small business lender who uses the Small Business Administration’s loan guarantee programs.
Running your own one-man operation is both a trying and rewarding endeavor. Although the entire onus is squarely on your shoulders, so are all of the accolades. After working in Corporate America for over 25 years, I finally decided to try my hand at my own business a few years back.
I have certainly had my share of trials and tribulations, but I am happier and making more money than I have in my entire life. The biggest change for me was getting used to doing the cleric type of work, such as licking stamps and order checks, which I hadn’t done since early in my career. Now that my daughter is in college, however, I have employed her help for some of these basic tasks.

Dont you feel good when you are able to help others? How about helping out small business? Offer a one time order discount, discount shipping, or something like that. If a natural disaster happens, and even though you have insurance for your business, why not help them to expiate their order free of charge. Its all about customer service and going beyond your expectations.
Customer service is really what makes up the company and people will begin to talk about it easily. If you did something spectacular for that company, you can be assured that you’ll have a repeat customer for sure. I did that for a company that was in business for 4 years, and someone broke in, and took their computers and checks. The company called me and asked me what i could do. I told them they just need to re-order the cheap business checks, and the order was to be shipped ground. I shipped them 2nd day air. If it was ground, it would of taken them 5 days to receive the order. They needed help to get back up and running from the vandals.
We all have shopping cart problems, but when to fix it is the question.

When your running a retail store, alot of things can happen. What if you lost some good employees, but gained new employees that wasn’t that good of a worker. You could see an impact on your sales and it will hit your checkbooks. What about if it was your online store? You have had the same company helping you for years then they started to lack customer service, and tech support, and alot of downtime’s then what?
Yes, you can find an new company to help your business that is more reliable. Same thing when its business checks that the company you’ve ordered from has changed. The company i use for business checks, hasn’t changed, and actually has gotten better in a lot of ways. Its a risk with any store. Just do what you can and monitor all aspects of your business.
