Did you know that you can design your own business checks? You’ll need to get an accounting program that will create the checks. If you buy the VersaCheck Gold, you’ll be able to create your personal or business checks. The program has all of the templates you need to design it. It even includes background images you can use, or you can put your own on the check.

You can buy bulk quickbooks checks, or the versachecks form 1000. Both are the same thing. It is recommended to have a MICR ink/toner so your check will clear the banks easier. If you use the regular ink, your bank may charge for your a processing fee for manual entry, as it wouldn’t be compliant with your bank. We do recommended that after you get it setup, take up to 5 checks to your local bank, and have them to test it. They will let you know that it is approved and it meets their standards.

Dont get your company in a financial bind.

Its always good when your company makes extra money and you don’t want to spend it. But the best thing about a business is this. What is your expense to income ratio. Just like on your credit report. The better the report is, more likely someone will give you the credit you deserve. Keeping your business out of debt makes your company smoother to run.

Using your bulk blank checks to create your own business checks, is another unique idea. That way, you can design it for your company. Paying cash and not worrying about paying on credit cards, will save you money in the long run. No interest, or late payments. Yes, those can be as a tax write off, but if you pay cash for your purchases, you’ll have more money in the long run. Buy only what you need. If your inventory is good, but you see a product that isn’t selling that good, get rid of it so it wont tie up your money.

Paying Your Dues

When I was in college, everyone in my major was required to complete an internship. While there were some criteria as to the nature of the work, the internships pretty much ran the gamut—from working in the mayor’s office to assisting at small non-profits. Regrettably, my internship was one of the more mundane, acting as a page for the higher-ups in a major company.

Most of my day was filled with menial tasks like working in the mail room or filling out the forms to order business checks. Despite the humdrum nature of the work, it satisfied my requirement for graduation. And even though I hardly gained any experience at all from my time with the company, the stint still looks good on my resume.

Do you want higher profits for your business? Its very easy to do. If your have an online store, or a regular store, a few things that can make a huge difference. Have a clean, and easy to read store entrance. For the online store, same thing, but make sure its easy for your customers to navigate around with out having to look too much. The average consumer spends about 3 minuets on a website. Make sure you have everything in stock, and every now and then, run sales/specials. That will help you to gain more sales with the low prices, that will increase your revenue.

If your an online store, exceed your customers expectations. Have the order to be shipped same or by the next business day. Sneak in the box, some coupons that the customer can use at a later point. Little things really make a big difference. Having your accounting up to date, and if you need to order cheap business checks, make sure you have extra on hand. Never know when you may need to use extra in a short time frame.

Adding more security to protect your investment is always an good idea. What if you didn’t have insurance? What if you didn’t have a security system installed? OOOpppss….that’s a bad idea. If you have a security system installed, it will help to prevent someone from stealing your stuff. Having insurance is always another good option, in-case of a fire, or weather related incident.

Having security is on your business checks is also important that accounts sometimes don’t think about. Some of the basic business checks security features are:

  • Padlock Icon
  • VOID pantograph
  • Micro-print
  • Security Screen
  • Artificial Watermark

Those things help to make sure your business runs efficiently

The nightmare employee

(Fortune Small Business) — A while ago I needed to hire an accounts payable person for my picture-framing business. We put an ad in the paper and received a good number of applications. One candidate jumped out from the pile: He had exactly the right background, and it didn’t hurt that he asked for a slightly lower salary than we were planning on paying.

After a successful interview we moved to the reference check. We called his previous employer, who was now retired, and left a message on his answering machine. He returned the call promptly and said all the right words: on time, conscientious, honest, reliable, easy to work with. Making sure your accounts payable dept is using the payroll checking account is very important as well. If they use the wrong account, it wont be good. Quickbook checks are easy to find anywhere.

So far, so good! Unfortunately, there were no other references because our candidate had worked for this guy for years and his only employer before then was out of business. But his background check and drug test came back clear, so we offered him the job. He readily accepted. He even asked if he could familiarize himself with our financial-software manual in advance so he could hit the ground running.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) — What’s it going to take for long-term Treasury yields to climb again?

Most experts believe that the rate on the 10-Year Treasury is likely to climb above 4% by the end of the year.

If the economy shows more signs of steady, albeit unspectacular, growth, it makes sense for bond investors to start focusing more on inflation concerns. That should mean a sell-off in long-term bonds and corresponding rise in their yields. (Bond prices and rates move in opposite directions.)

In addition, foreign investors appear to be growing increasingly wary of how much debt the U.S. has accumulated in order to pay for stimulus and various bailout programs. That should also, in theory, put upward pressure on rates. If they increase the percentage, then alot more business checks will be written to help our economy.

“Rates are going to drift higher over the course of the year for two reasons. The Treasury has massive financing needs because of the deficit and the economy is continuing to improve,” said David Joy, chief market strategist with RiverSource Investments, a money management firm based in Minneapolis.

Is your website business protected?

Is your website business protected? You should be able to answer, YES it is. Do you have the SSL on your check out where your customers inters their credit card? Should be able to say yes, because its required, or you could be fined. Some of the things you can look for that makes a business on line liget is, look for the SSL, are they Authorize.net authorized, how long have they been in business? Or you can even call the business and they can show you on the site.

By placing orders online, for online cheap business checks, you need to make sure your business is protected against hackers, and or someone that wants to hurt your business. Always update your security features, and how you accept credit card. Allot of companies accept debit/credit cards over the phone, but its not recommend because it will open the business up for liability and security reasons. What if the other person writes it down and uses it against you.

Good idea to back up your data

We all need to back up data and make sure its protected. What if a fire broke out, and destroyed your computer? What kind of back up plan do you have. A good idea is to have it stored off-site, portable hard-drive, and or back it up to a cd/dvd. Having a back up for everything is a good idea. On the back up, have pictures of your inventory, computer, serial number, model number, and any receipts.

If your business had a fire and needed to order more business checks, you’ll be able to tell what was the last check number you ordered. Same way with your insurance documents as well. Being one step ahead of your business keeps everything in smooth operation.

Cutting Costs in a Tough Economy

Although the economy is beginning to show signs of recovery, businesses across the board are still looking for ways to vamp up their production and minimize overhead costs. While laying off workers and increasing employees’ workloads is a short-term fix, these methods will unfailingly lead to lower morale and, in turn, production in the long run. The key to sustained cost reduction is refining your company in ways that can remain implemented even after the economy recovers.

One of the best ways to do this is by buying in bulk and opting for generic brands. When it comes to office supplies, buying pens, paper and cheap checks in bulk online can save your company an enormous amount in the long run. Instead of cutting out your breakroom snacks, switch to less expensive generic products. This will allow you to reward your employees without blowing your budget.
