Its a great thing to do so you can separate personal from business. Getting a DUNS number is like a SSN but for your business. Its very important that you keep your business in good credit standings. It is reported just like your personal credit report. Longer you keep your business credit in good standings, the better you can do business. Just remember when you change your business checks, to change your deposit slips as well.
