Business Checks

When I was in college, everyone in my major was required to complete an internship. While there were some criteria as to the nature of the work, the internships pretty much ran the gamut—from working in the mayor’s office to assisting at small non-profits. Regrettably, my internship was one of the more mundane, acting as a page for the higher-ups in a major company.

Most of my day was filled with menial tasks like working in the mail room or filling out the forms to order business checks. Despite the humdrum nature of the work, it satisfied my requirement for graduation. And even though I hardly gained any experience at all from my time with the company, the stint still looks good on my resume.
