You can go to sams club, costco and other warehouse stores that you can purchase more and save more. Its always a good idea to buy more if you want to save more. Just got to spend more upfront vs. small amount at a time. Same thing applies to when your buying things for your business, or office.

When your buying checks, usually the more you buy, the cheaper each check will be. Whys that?  Their is the process of getting the information, putting the information in a program, the time amounts it takes to do it, the qyt of checks, printer usage, ink, electricity and etc…. So alot of people dont think about that. So if your buing more, less it will be per check, because not as much time is involved with setting up everything for that one print job. Its easy to find cheap business checks, and you can save alot. Just gota look in the right places.

I’ve been asked alot of different questions, but this one really stands out. What kind of template can i use with Quickbooks. Quickbooks can print your business checks in 3 different ways. Checks on top, Full page of checks, or laser wallet checks. Each of those has the same template style. Theirs only 2 that is the most popular.

Quickbooks checks print with the lines on them for all of the different styles. The other style is no lines, but signature line only. The template or layout is the same as its for personal checks. You can add a color logo, black and white logo, no lines, sig line only, with lines, or 2 signature lines on the checks. Theirs not too much you can do, because of the laws and the bank requirements.

What kind of checks does Quickbooks uses?

Quickbooks uses 3 types of checks. Checks on top, full page of checks, and laser wallet checks. They all are customizable and differ in color and style. Checks on Top is very common check to use with quickbooks. You can find them in more variety of styles and colors than any other checks. Marble style is very popular. You can find it in blue, burugndy, green, greay, purple, tan, and teal. Theirs wave and lattice style as well.

Full page of checks are great to use, but they dont offer a stub. Its 3 business checks to a page, and if your doing rebates, its a great thing to use. That way you can get more checks out, per page. The colors and styles are limited though.

The wallet checks are used more for personal use, even though business can use them as well. They do offer the stubs on the left side of the check, and is a personal size. They are limited in style and color as well.

saving-money-dollar-signSaving money for your business is always a great thing to do. A good rule to save money and put it aside is to move an extra 15-25% of your profits to a savings account. You never know if you may have a rainy day and need help. What if your business slides due to weather condition, or new road construction.

Having the extra money is a good way to have more in the long run. Dont spend the extra money because you have it. If you have enough, put it into a CD, annuity, or a high percent money market account. Put your money to work for you. Business checks that you write from is a good way to keep organized with it, as you keep track of your other funds in your accounting program

bluemarbleBusiness checks are used just as much as personal checks. You can customized them both. Its good to have your business vs. personal checks separated. Its good because you’ll be able to separate the business from the personal and easier for tax time. When ordering, take a look at what you really want. What kind of style, or what color do you want.

Business Checks are used alot more than personal checks. You can copy a cleared check vs seing a cleared debt transaction. Keeping a copy of your check records are great things to have in case of a legal dispute. Theirs so many ways to customized a check and make it personal or professional looking. Either way will stay more about you or your company.

The Necessities of Checks

Let’s face it, in a time when credit and debit cards are used for almost all purchases, checks have taken a back seat.  In the 1990’s, credit cards existed, but purchasing with a credit card was not streamlined like it is now.  Now it’s just a quick swipe, where before an elaborate screening process was required in addition to a signature.  Businesses that don’t accept debit or credit cards tend not to fare well.  But despite the prevalence of debit and credit cards, checks still have their uses, especially for businesses.  Large deposits or purchases can’t be made with a debit or credit card, and for businesses, often large purchases are required.  It’s not difficult to order business checks, and it can be done through the bank or business checks can be purchased online and printed with the required information.

Even if you don’t use it, it’s a good idea to have a checking account, whether you’re a business or an individual.  For individuals, where would you be without a checkbook when paying for rent or a mortgage, making a large purchase, or sending money to someone in an envelope.  Checks will always be an important part of finances.
