Did you know that you can design your own business checks? You’ll need to get an accounting program that will create the checks. If you buy the VersaCheck Gold, you’ll be able to create your personal or business checks. The program has all of the templates you need to design it. It even includes background images you can use, or you can put your own on the check.

You can buy bulk quickbooks checks, or the versachecks form 1000. Both are the same thing. It is recommended to have a MICR ink/toner so your check will clear the banks easier. If you use the regular ink, your bank may charge for your a processing fee for manual entry, as it wouldn’t be compliant with your bank. We do recommended that after you get it setup, take up to 5 checks to your local bank, and have them to test it. They will let you know that it is approved and it meets their standards.

Dont get your company in a financial bind.

Its always good when your company makes extra money and you don’t want to spend it. But the best thing about a business is this. What is your expense to income ratio. Just like on your credit report. The better the report is, more likely someone will give you the credit you deserve. Keeping your business out of debt makes your company smoother to run.

Using your bulk blank checks to create your own business checks, is another unique idea. That way, you can design it for your company. Paying cash and not worrying about paying on credit cards, will save you money in the long run. No interest, or late payments. Yes, those can be as a tax write off, but if you pay cash for your purchases, you’ll have more money in the long run. Buy only what you need. If your inventory is good, but you see a product that isn’t selling that good, get rid of it so it wont tie up your money.

Do you want higher profits for your business? Its very easy to do. If your have an online store, or a regular store, a few things that can make a huge difference. Have a clean, and easy to read store entrance. For the online store, same thing, but make sure its easy for your customers to navigate around with out having to look too much. The average consumer spends about 3 minuets on a website. Make sure you have everything in stock, and every now and then, run sales/specials. That will help you to gain more sales with the low prices, that will increase your revenue.

If your an online store, exceed your customers expectations. Have the order to be shipped same or by the next business day. Sneak in the box, some coupons that the customer can use at a later point. Little things really make a big difference. Having your accounting up to date, and if you need to order cheap business checks, make sure you have extra on hand. Never know when you may need to use extra in a short time frame.

Adding more security to your business

Adding more security to protect your investment is always an good idea. What if you didn’t have insurance? What if you didn’t have a security system installed? OOOpppss….that’s a bad idea. If you have a security system installed, it will help to prevent someone from stealing your stuff. Having insurance is always another good option, in-case of a fire, or weather related incident.

Having security is on your business checks is also important that accounts sometimes don’t think about. Some of the basic business checks security features are:

  • Padlock Icon
  • VOID pantograph
  • Micro-print
  • Security Screen
  • Artificial Watermark

Those things help to make sure your business runs efficiently

Ever go into a retail store, and the front is always the same. Its gets old on the 3rd or 4th time you go in there. Best Buy, Walmart and other retailers keep chainging their front end to entice shoppers to buy. Its the same thing with your online store. Keep changing it up, have special deals and you’ll be suprised at the response you’ll get.

With an online check store is the same, but different as well. You can have the changes by adding more products that is relevant to the business checks, and the color options as well. If its a special holiday, like 4th of july, spiff it up with adding flags as an style for business checks. Or…if its Christmas time, have a pre-selected color logo to imprint free for your customers.

Marble blue is the most popular style for business checks. Most business uses them, but believe it or not, some people even use it for personal use as well. The marble blue is so common because of the business style and or they have a blue color in their logo. The pattern has an unique look so it is very hard to re-duplicate the check for fraud.

The marble style has alot of different security features that will help to protect your check. Best method is to us a laser printer or  a pen that is designed for checks to help to prevent fraud. The bulk blank checks has alot more colors if you dont want the blue.

You can always have someone else to print your business checks for you, but to have it customized the way you want to can be fun. Just keep in mind that the quickbooks uses checks in top, or full page of checks. Peachtree uses the checks in the middle. Peachtree has default 4 different types of templates. Bulk blank checks are available in alot of styles, like wave, marble (most popular), and lattice style.

Of course their are alot of other programs out there, but the Quickbooks checks are available in a lot of styles and colors. You can have the lines on the checks, or not. You can leave the memo line out, and re-place it with  your business name/phone number. So many different ways you can do it, even with your logo. Your logo can be used for your business name, then have the business address below it. Dont forget to make the checks more professional looking, to use your logo in the middle of your check stub as a watermark. If you are printing your own business checks, it is recommended to make sure that you take a few of them to your bank and have them “TEST” the checks. That way it passes your bank rules/regulations as well. If you dont, and the MICR is incorrect on there, it could cost you per check, or have the bank to refuse the check. That would cost you to have a NSF even though the funds are there.

When your starting off with any size of a business its good idea to always order cheap business checks. Pay cash as much as possible for the business. Yes financing is good, but it can help your company to go under as well. Manage your business just like as if it was your own personal checking account. Re investing is always the best thing to do.

Keep your books in the black, expand slowly and allow your business to grow with the growth of your customers. If you order too much stock, and its not selling….then you have alot of investment money tied up and not going now where. After a few months control, you’ll be able to see what your customers are buying the most. Keep a little bit extra on hand, and make sure once a order go out the door, that you replenish asap.

Templates for Quickbooks

I’ve been asked alot of different questions, but this one really stands out. What kind of template can i use with Quickbooks. Quickbooks can print your business checks in 3 different ways. Checks on top, Full page of checks, or laser wallet checks. Each of those has the same template style. Theirs only 2 that is the most popular.

Quickbooks checks print with the lines on them for all of the different styles. The other style is no lines, but signature line only. The template or layout is the same as its for personal checks. You can add a color logo, black and white logo, no lines, sig line only, with lines, or 2 signature lines on the checks. Theirs not too much you can do, because of the laws and the bank requirements.
