Who is responsible for stolen packages?

With the economy not doing good, and thieves are looking for shipping items like, UPS, USPS, and FedEx. So…who is responsible for a package if its been delivered, but stolen? Was the package insured? Do you do a charge back to get your money back from the shipper? What happens if its business checks being shipped?

By default, UPS and Fedex offers insurance automatically of $100 on all packages. If its USPS, you had to have the shipper to add insurance to the package then. Its a very good question to figure out and hard as well. To make things easy. Make sure you have your package signed for, and insured as well. This can become a very complex situation easily and turns to a blame game. Large special orders, pay a little extra to make sure the customer receives it, even if they have to and get the package at their local hub.  Easier the better, and customer service for the business that sent it to, makes them look good, and have a happy customer.

Happy Holidays to your business and family. We hope you have had a great year with your business and family. Its great to work with the people that we do, as we consider them part of our family as well. Small business really does make a difference with our economy and adds more personalization to each customer and order.

Sharing the holidays with our family and friends is always a great thing to have and offer. Even though alot of people have lost their jobs, and more. Their are still good people that is willing to help others that is in need. Small companies have a website and automate alot of things. But each order is done manually, and i know of a company that take great pride to make sure your order is correct. Having trust in a company that helps you and making sure they do the right job, makes your business unique to each of us. Just remember when your ordering bulk blank checks, that it is done by someone else with pride in their work, to make sure your work is done correctly. Happy Holidays.

Is it time to open up another website

Have you gotten your current website established good? Are you having allot of repeat customers? Sales steady daily and growing consistently? Well if yes to all. Then it may be time to open another website. Have more options and products. Having a unique name will always help. Use the trial first to make sure the shopping cart will be the best fit for your new online store.

Even though you’ll have a new name, you can always use your current company name for credit card processing. Just make sure its visible on the receipt, and online as well. Other wise you may have a increased risk of having a charge back. To be on the safe side. I would recommend using paypal to start out with and as you grow, then get a separate merchant account. That way they’ll see your new business name on their credit card statement and nothing else to worry about. Just an idea. The more payment options you can offer the customers the better. Allow the customers to mail their business checks as a form of payment, and dont process the order till the payment has cleared. It dont matter if its a quickbooks business check, peachtree business checks, or from another accounting program that printed the payment.

Keep track of every thing you do with the business

How do you keep track of everything your doing with your business? Are you using quickbooks, or peachtree? Well one thing is that when your doing a “charge item”, make sure your keeping track of how many times you are charging for a service your company is providing. Keeping track will help you if you need to replace that hardware.

A charge for color printing is always going to be a “charge item.” Keeping track of how often you charge and use it will help you to determine if you need to upgrade or expand more equipment. A company that converts bulk blank business checks into a usable business checks that has a color logo printed, and keeping track of a charge item is always important to the customers. Usually you can charge a flat fee, or per qty based.

Its always good to give back to our community and Veterans

During the hard economic times. Its always good to try to give back to our community and help others. Its bad to hear that the government will help those in need, but wont help as much with our veterans. USA use to be a country we all were proud of and glad to be from. We are taking care of others, instead of our own. We don’t have enough money for medicare/medicare, but yet, we give millions to other countries.

Having a business this day in time is hard enough. But today, I’ll be glad to get some gift certificates from walmart and give them to a few vets that really needs help. Another idea that i’ll be glad to do is offer free shipping on all American Flag business checks. The American Flag checks will say alot by its self. As a nation. We all need to work together better and help those that are really in need, and quit being so greedy.

Ok, we all have heard of the biggest banks in America be sneaky about their bank fees. They have dropped the debit card fees and others. Well guess what? They are going to find another way to get the money they will loose with the frank dodd act that has been in place just over a month now. If your in a contract with your current merchant account, how can you change the funds to a different bank or credit union?

Just call your merchant provider customer service, and ask to have your deposits to be changed to a different account. They will ask for the routing number and account number. It can take 24-48 hrs for the change to take place, but at least you can change banks with out a contract. When you change banks, you can order bulk blank checks and imprint your own business checks, but you’ll need the right program, printer, and MICR toner as well to be in compliance with the banks. As always, if your not sure about something, always call and ask to be on the safe side.

The more you are writing business checks, the more your increasing the chance of fraud by someone else. If you print your own checks from quickbooks bulk blank checks, make sure your using the best security checks that are out there, even if it may cost more. Buying in bulk will save you more money and easy to save in the long run. The security features will prevent any type of fraud activity that could occur.

If your not sure about your business check security features. Turn the check over and look on the back. A few tips to help fraud:

  1. Avoid leaving large blank spaces in the convenience dollar amount or legal dollar amount lines on the check you write. Avoid leaving large blank spaces on the”PAY TO THE ORDER OF” line.
  2. Report to your bank if your checks payable to you are stolen.
  3. Protect your account records and any documents containing personal I.D. information
  4. Close any unnecessary accounts and destroy any extra checks for closed accounts.
  5. Inform your bank about the status of your accounts
  6. Store your unused checks in a secure area.

User laser to imprint the check information and signature, or use a pen that helps prevent check fraud. Another name is called “check washing”.

Most of the time. Peachtree Accounting Software uses the checks in the middle. But you can edit the program where you can use the Quickbooks business checks as well. Some people that are moving over from one accounting program, dont want to spend more to change the check type. If your moving from Quickbooks to peachtree. It can be easy to do with out a problem.

Peachtree by default uses four different styles for the check in the middle. Quickbooks uses check on top, full page of checks, or 3 up personal checks. All of them can be customized to your business needs with or without lines and your business logo. The more you purchase, the more you can save in the long run. You can even use bulk blank checks and customize your own checks .

American Flag Business Checks are being used more this year

Its great to see that America is ordering more and more Flags for various holiday. Even though we just got through remembering those that perished 10 years ago today. I’m had received a payment from a customer, and i found out where he had ordered it from. I was very impressed to see that someone purchased bulk blank checks that had Flags on there and they are using it to support our country.

We need to support our own country more than what we have. We need to keep more business in the USA instead of having them overseas. Recently, we have lost two more companies that services our public and mostly families. A book store is scheduled here to close next month and a recently remodeled theater has closed due to the economy.

Cheap checks will work just as good as the other business checks

Are you starting out a new company? Looking to save money? Want to save expenses on business checks. Just look for on Google, yahoo or other search engines for “Cheap Checks” or “Cheap Business Checks“. You’ll come across companies that offer lower prices, but still good quality business checks. All business checks are Check 21 compliance and has the basic security features.

One way to save more is to purchase more in bulk. It will be cheaper with the more you purchase. Saving more with this economy is getting harder to find. Customer service with every sales goes along way. See how long it will take to have the order delivered. Most companies will receive the order that day, and can ship out the next day. Larger orders may have to be produced or cut when your dealing with paper.

Asking your customers for a review will help your business to grow. Everyone reads reviews, the good, bad, and the ugly. The more reviews you have and shows alot of positive reviews. The better your chances are of gaining new customers to see what you can offer them. Just keep them happy by always exceeding the customers expectations.

When processing a professional order, like business checks. Its good to tell them one thing, but show them what you can really do. If you say on average it takes 3-5 days. Show them you can do it in 1-2 days instead. Then ask them for a review after they have received their order. Most will reply with a great review. If something is wrong, call them and let them know. By taking care of your customers is taking care of your business.

As a small business owner, we are trying to maximize our sales to have more profit. One of the best ways is to offer your customers more payment options. I just added recently American Express. Yes it does have more of a fee than the other 3 credit cards (Visa, Master Card, and Discover) but you’ll be able to make a sale and have a profit. Having a merchant account is expensive enough as it is.

Offer one more great payment option to your customers and that is for them to Mail you a Check for payment. Yes its a risk just like accepting credit cards, but the fees are lower though. Once you receive the check, you can use a onsite check deposit from your bank (accept money orders, cheap business checks, quickbooks and peachtree checks), to make the deposit from your desk. Having that option does reduce someone else handling the money, and reduces expenses from going to and from the bank every day. Go out on the limb for your customers and you can easily increase your conversion rate. Got to spend money, to make money.
