Changing over to Peachtree accounting software is very easy to do. Their is a convert program with the peachtree programs that allows you to move things. Why not start using peachtree out of the box vs using quickbooks. WHY? Peachtree has FIFO and LIFO, and will give you the accurate numbers for what you have made for the year off of that product.

Quickbooks will give you an Average number. You hate lairs right? Well so do we with an accounting program that will give you the wrong information. When using the peachtree business checks, is easy and you’ll have four templates to select from and use. Not sure what to use. Just print some dummy checks to see what style you like for your business.

Gold hits 5-month high above $1200

By Blake Ellis, staff reporterMay 6, 2010: 3:46 PM ET

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) — Gold surged past the psychologically significant $1,200 mark on Thursday as stock markets plummeted and investors sought a safe haven.

What prices are doing: Gold for June delivery settled up $22.30, or nearly 2%, at $1,197.30 an ounce but climbed above $1,200 after its settlement, hitting the highest level since Dec. 4.

What’s moving the market: Investors flocked to safer investments like gold on Thursday as concerns about Greece’s debt persisted and markets tumbled.

The Dow plunged nearly 1,000 points in afternoon trading Thursday. Before this drop, stocks were all lower as investors worried that Greece’s debt problems could spread to other euro zone countries.

“You have strong investment demand for gold as a safe haven to hedge against what has been happening in Greece and other European countries,” said Carlos Sanchez, a precious metals analyst at CPM Group.

Sanchez said Greece’s problems have caused a ripple effect in the markets, and that gold has been climbing as stocks fall and the dollar heads higher.

“If this break above $1,200 holds, we may see follow-through buying and may see prices pushed toward last year’s high of $1,230 because of such high investment demand,” he said.  Business checks are used to help with buying Gold across the nation.

Keeping good records?

Like most businesses you most likely keep a very good record system so that way you can track your business checks. Its always a good idea to check your bank statement every month to make sure your checks are matching up to your other paper work.

Having good easy to read checks help in this as well. If you have a check that is messy and small and hard to read then checking it can become a hassle. So make sure when ordering your checks to make it simple and keep that nice clean look to them.

If you are interested in making your business checks more friendly to pursuade more customers to come in, then I suggest adding your logo to your checks. When you do this it will show your customers that you are proud of your company and want everyone to know about it.

Adding your own personal business logo onto checks will not only catch the attention of your current customers but it will also catch the eye of any on lookers as well. It could potentially help boost your numbers during this hard time we are having lately, and lets face it some of us are willing to make as many changes as possible to up the numbers.

Have you ever been in a situation where you realize at last minute that you are almost out of  business checks. And then you realize that what you have may not make it till you recieve the new ones. Well there is a way to avoid this situation from happening.

The best thing to do is when you open your last set of checks to go and order more checks so that way, the new ones will be in before you run out of the checks you already have. Its so simple that once you get into a routine of doing that you will find that you wont find your self without checks ever again.

Peachtree checks are customizable

Peachtree checks are customizable and by default offers 4 different styles. They use checks in middle. Yes you can add color logo, black white logo, or watermark onto your checks. You can move the address over to the left, right or middle, with the logo. Its always good to make sure the address fits perfectly into the double window envelope.

You can even add custom fonts to your checks as well. One thing is not recommended is to have your checks printed with your signature on them. Thats is a extremely risky thing to do. Anyone could put their name on there, write a huge check out with your signature on it, and then your liable for that check because of the printed signature.

Growing your business with Peachtree by sage

For entrepreneurs to successfully grow their businesses, they need to have the right tools to meet their changing needs. One common challenge that many small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) face is establishing a sound and scalable IT infrastructure.

For example, many SMBs meet their software needs on a piece-meal basis. Such band aid solutions can be detrimental to their business because they cannot adequately support their rapidly expanding fundamental business functions such as accounting.

Sage Software recognizes this issue and, with Peachtree 2008, provides a scalable software solution that businesses can grow with, once a sound accounting foundation has been laid.

There are some common factors as to how companies outgrow their current software:
Geography
As a business expands, multiple offices or warehouses may be added. This requires additional network infrastructure to accommodate the new locations.
Users
More employees may need access to the software. Adequate software licenses often need to be added and security controls need be able to limit access on an individual basis.
Functions
New features may be needed to accommodate business growth. Procedures like advanced job costing, inventory management and product customization may need to be added as functions.
The software challenges that many businesses face can be resolved easily. SMBs can properly prepare for their growth by anticipating their accounting needs. Initially, they must ask themselves:

• Where will this business be in a year? five years? ten years?
• How many people will be employed?
• How many locations or offices will there be?
• Will functions like payroll be in-house or outsourced?
They also need to follow accounting best practices at all times. Businesses need to become familiar with basic bookkeeping practices and standard sets of financial statements and reports. This will help monitor the health of their business.

SMBs should also consider hiring an accountant at the early stage of their business. Accountant can provide expert advice as to which reporting configuration is best and will be able to forecast future accounting needs.

Once the foundation is laid, a scalable software like Peachtree 2009 can be implemented to accommodate growth. The software provides an account reconciliation feature, detailed security settings and data backups on a daily basis.

Thanks to its scalability Peachtree has proven to be a preferred accounting solution for many growing SMBs. Even when a business outgrows the Peachtree software, accounting records can be easily integrated into other Sage Software Enterprise solutions. As customer’s requirements grow, Sage Software offers solutions to grow with them.
